It’s hard to think of a place more suited to families, given that generations of the Smetaceks have flourished here and left indelible memories for visitors to enjoy. Just keep in mind that this is a homestay run by a family that has tried to maintain the original character of the house, so be prepared for rooms and bathrooms that are more functional than fancy.

Along with the range of indoor and outdoor games and activities here, Bhimtal’s lake is 5 minutes away, so a boat ride is a good starting point for a family day out.
