Suryagarh’s 77 rooms are airy and welcoming, with high ceilings, dark wood furniture and plenty of natural light. Sensitively in-keeping with the style of the area, furniture is locally produced and demonstrates the high level of detail which is apparent throughout the hotel.

Aside from the main hotel are the new ‘Residences’. These 4 beautifully constructed stand-alone suites have wide sweeping views of the barren landscape and are the plushest of the accommodation here, with their own butler service and one – the double – with its own small, private pool.

We’re happy to claim that a good night’s sleep is virtually guaranteed at Suryagarh; the queen-sized beds draped in luxurious down bedding and crisp, white, Egyptian cotton sheets see to that. Plus you’re in the countryside, so there’s none of India’s ubiquitous traffic noise.

All rooms have wonderful views of the desert, gardens or courtyard and are supplied with a host of amenities for your comfort and convenience, including all those little extras one would expect from a large ‘luxury’ hotel such as this.

Room types

There are many room categories to choose from, as detailed in full below.

One child under 7 yrs may stay free of charge using the existing beds. Otherwise extra beds are chargeable at 3,500 INR per night. No more than 1 extra bed per room.

18 X Palace Rooms – 375-425 sq. ft. All regular amenities are available.

16 X Grand Heritage Room – 525 sq. ft. Addition of a living room. All amenities are similar to Palace rooms.

11 X Pavilion Rooms – 600-800 sq. ft. Separate facilities for shower and bathtub. The rooms are on the ground floor and overlook the gardens.

8 X Luxury Suites – 625 sq. ft. Separate living area, separate facilities for shower and bathtub.

18 X Signature Suites – Separate living area with a powder room. Two TVs (living area and bedroom) and a larger bathroom.

2 X Jaisalmer Suite – 2500 sq. ft. Private dining area, larger bedroom, 53-inch TV, jacuzzi, private terrace with a plunge pool.

4 X Residences – 3 w/single bedroom (‘Havelis’) and 1 w/double bedroom (the ‘Jaisalmer Haveli’), lap pool and dining area. All come with a butler service, barbecue area and a kitchen.
