Sundays Forever
Goa
The villa contains two en-suite bedrooms plus there’s a study attached to the master bedroom that has a fold-out futon bed sleeping two.
All rooms have A/C: the east-facing master bedroom looks out onto the garden and river, while the slightly smaller but no less lovely second bedroom is next to the kitchen on the west side.
All the bedrooms are extremely cosy and have an understated style, with cool stone floors and tasteful furnishings.
There are personal, homely touches all over – lamps, vases, photos, small pieces of art or design, things accumulated over time to remind you that you’re in a home. Matresses are soft but firm and the duvets are the kind that make you want to stay in bed forever.
In the case of Sundays it’s impossible to talk about the rooms without talking about the villa as a whole. There’s a lovely flow inside, with design that makes the entire place feel connected, aided by the open plan nature of the living room, TV area and kitchen. In essence it’s one big room for you, your friends or your family to play in.
Rajesh tells us that guests hardly ever switch the TV on, but it’s there nonetheless. There’s also a sound system in the study with cables for connecting laptops and ipods. The study also has a large, comfortable writing desk.
