Siolim House
North Goa
Though the relaxation Siolim House inspires can seem counter to any strenuous activity, there is in fact enough on-site to keep your days full.
The Siolim Cooking School:
Run by Varun’s partner Lucie, traditional Goan food classes are taught by local Goan aunties, who will even take you shopping to the neighbouring fish market before they impart their secrets.
Fishing trips:
You can hire Siolim House’s boats to take fishing trips along the Siolim-Chapora River, a route that winds through villages and islands with a variety of birdlife and the odd river crocodile to spot along the way. Special fishing and lunch programs are also offered by the hotel in peak season.
Entertainment room:
Although rooms don’t have TVs there is a large entertainment room on the first floor, with a large TV, well-stocked DVD collection, an excellent multi-lingual book library and assorted board games among the sofas.
Yoga & massage:
Daily morning yoga is available, along with ayurvedic massage and therapeutic services with extremely reasonable rates for the treatments provided.
