Shivavilas Palace

When to go:
Like the rest of Karnataka, the plains of Bellary can get extremely hot during March and April. The best time is at the end of the year, November through to February.
If you can, catch the two-day annual Hampi festival, which happens in late December or early January. Though the festival is tinged with a staid, manicured vibe, it’s a good time to get acquainted with folk arts of the state.
Getting around:
The only way to get around for sightseeing is in your own vehicle or a cab that can be arranged easily at an additional cost.
