Ratan Vilas
Jodhpur
Ratan Vilas has a lovely dining area, with meals being served both inside and out. On winter nights, a cosy fire is lit outside and tables close to the fire are taken up quickly.
If you’re used to eating spicy food then bear in mind that the kitchen caters mainly to foreign travellers, meaning the food is prepared for a non-Indian palette and is on the bland side.
Breakfast is served buffet style from 7 to 10am, with a mix of western and Indian fare: cereal, eggs, toast, chhole, poori, parathas and so on are on offer. The menu is impressively varied, though not on the gourmet spectrum.
Lunch (12 to 3pm) and dinner (7 to 10.30pm) are a la carte, and buffet style meals can be arranged for large groups of people.
Alcohol is served.

Dining nearby
Jodhpur does not have an abundance of good dining options, but a few places can be relied upon for a half-decent meal:
Gypsy restaurant is a popular vegetarian place which is rumoured to have the best dal baati churma in the city.
Indique at Pal Haveli has excellent views of the Mehrangarh Fort at night, a bar, and is one of the best places in the city to eat laal maans (mutton curry).
Janta Sweet Home on Nayi Sadak is good for quick Indian snacks like kachori, mirchi vada etc…
