All rooms are modern and slick, though not with as much ‘wow’ factor, or as individual, as one might expect. The thrill here is really down to the view and the vibe of the outside spaces.

Style-wise the rooms are on the corporate side of ‘boutique’, but there’s nothing inherently wrong with that and there’s certainly no compromise on comfort: king size beds, crisp white linen, super-soft pillows, or on amenities: flat-screen TVs, DVD players, bathrobes and great bath products are all in place.

35 rooms have views towards Mehrangarh Fort (the best view in the entire city!) while the 4 Garden Rooms – the base category – are located on the ground floor and make up for their lack of view by having small but lovely private gardens.

Heritage Suites, located in the original haveli building, are undoubtedly the best of the bunch with super-size balconies or verandahs and plenty of living space in their cool, sandstone interiors.

Luxury Rooms, in the modern block, are perhaps the most generic feeling of all the rooms. Shiny floors, headboards and leather seats are still top quality but the trump card (and premium) is still the view: each room has a private balcony looking out over the fort.

Duplex Suites are a good choice for honeymooners: set across two floors with a bedroom and attached bathroom on the ground floor and a living space on the upper floor with a private balcony looking out over the pool, gardens and on to the fort and Blue City. The large balcony is perfect for evenings in during the warmer months.
