About Us

We'll personally help you pick the perfect hotel.

We spent two years travelling around India and stayed at over a hundred hotels. The Tripzuki collection represents the best of the best. We met the owners and the staff, took our own photos, and tried the breakfast in the morning. We know EVERYTHING about these hotels. We also negotiated some incredible deals!

Leave your name and email with us and we'll get in touch to help you find the perfect hotel.

Purity

Keralan backwaters

Breakfast is included with every stay and includes south Indian and European options. Fresh fruits and juices, muesli, eggs to order and dosa were all good but we particularly enjoyed the tasty pancakes. The kitchen can also switch things up and send out paratha and puri bhaji if requested.

Lunch and dinner were both good, though considering the standard of the property you may be forgiven for expecting fine dining of the highest order.

There’s a large list of seafood and meat specials, often with Keralan influence, and the chef on duty will be more than happy to come out and discuss any special requirements.

Service is certainly not a problem here, which is yet another bonus of staying in a small, boutique hotel as opposed to a large, faceless property.

Best of all at Purity is the chance to dine out al fresco at the lake side, especially pleasant – and romantic – when the mosquitoes (a given in this climate) are less active and of course outside of the rainy off-season.

Alternatively, lunch and dinner can be taken on your balcony (if you have one) or at a table along the side of the ponded courtyard with its circular stepping stones and funky décor, feeling like a café attached to an art gallery rather than a hotel.

Though there is no dedicated bar area there is a good selection of wine plus beer and other alcohol available.

Menu

There’s an emphasis on Keralan cuisine, which the kitchen does very competently – our very tasty rasam & rice for example – though forays into standard, western pastas and so on don’t quite hit the mark that one might expect. Stick with the fish and south Indian dishes and you’ll be more than satisfied, plus you’re in Kerala so it really makes sense to eat delicious Keralan food!

Dining nearby

There are few places to eat nearby unless one heads into Alleppey town, so be prepared to take a tuk tuk, a taxi or your own car to venture out in the evening.
