Olaulim Backyards
inland, north Goa
Food at Olaulim Backyards, much like the property itself, is homely and simple, plus very delicious.
Breakfast is included in the rates and includes the usual continental staples: bread, fruits, juice, cereal and more. Eggs can be prepared in your chosen style.
Meals are largely Goan in style though feel free to ask if you would like some adaptation or have special requirements. Definitely ask for the fish cooked in hay and banana leaves, a Goan village speciality.
A good variety of fruits and vegetables are grown around the property and the hosts, plus ladies from the village, will take great pleasure in cooking up a storm. There is even a small sit-out right next to the kitchen where you can watch preparations and converse with your cooks.
Unless you wish to drive elsewhere to eat (it’s a good 30mins drive to another restaurant) we recommend eating here and really enjoying the property.

Menu
Some great, authentic Goan cuisine. Good options for vegetarians, give a little notice and you will be well looked after. A Jain diet can also be catered for.
Dining nearby
There’s nowhere to eat nearby, but be adventurous and get a driver to ferry you around and explore Goa.
Navtara’s (Indian vegetarian) in Mapusa is a great stop-off if you’re out at the beach for the day, your driver should know it.
