Little Paradise Cottage
north Goa
Nestled on the valley-side road in the beautiful village of Assagao, Little Paradise is a two-bedroom, split-level, luxury rental cottage with private garden, mini-pool and excellent housekeeper/chef attached; ideally suited to upmarket independent travelers and families looking for medium- to long-term accommodation.
The village of Assagao has slowly but surely become one of the most desirable spots in Goa, balancing its proximity to tourist attractions, beaches, markets, bars, restaurants and shopping with a sense of residential peace and old-fashioned Goan-Portuguese class.
Owner and designer Anjila Puri has made sure Little Paradise fits perfectly into the scene. Originally a run-down Portuguese cottage, the exteriors have been retained (albeit updated) while the interiors have been completely reworked, creating a modern and individual space that invites stylish living, with a fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, wireless internet and stereo system providing the modern comforts needed.
Along with these, one of the great advantages Little Paradise has over other rental cottages is housekeeper Pascal, an intelligent, discrete and resourceful presence, he makes the smooth running seem effortless and is happy to help out with all kinds of requests. On top of all this, he is also an excellent chef with a growing range of dishes.
Little Paradise is the ideal destination for travellers or families who are independent but still desire comfortable living and a little luxury.

Plus points
- Discretely placed, luxury cottage with all mod-cons.
- Housekeeper Pascal is smart, resourceful and an excellent chef.
- Assagao is one of the most desirable locations in Goa.
- Ideal for artists, writers and yoga practitioners.
Good to know…
- Away from the “action”, if that’s what you’re after, even grocery shopping needs transport so stock up in advance.
- Pascal is a housekeeper – rather than domestic help – and does not cook every meal so a stay here is really self-catering.
