North Goa
The beach shack restaurant, bar and dining area, with such a limited number of guests and outsiders not permitted, will never be busy. There’s no sea view here but it’s a great place for a relaxed meal, excellent service and no rush. There’s also a selection of reading material if you just want to chill, though it’s mostly a great focus for the property where guests can socialise as much, or as little, as they want. The property sees a lot of repeat custom undoubtedly due to the communal atmosphere and the management’s socialising with the guests.
Food is of a high standard and, surprisingly, not too highly priced (e.g. approx. 80 to 100 INR for a sandwich).
Breakfast is available here every morning (continental style) and though we didn’t partake it is reportedly delicious!
Dinner or lunch is cooked to order so expect a little wait. The menu has plenty to keep your stomach occupied: Indian, Goan and continental dishes are available; fresh seafood is par for the course. We particularly enjoyed the stuffed kulcha and dal fry, other guests also recommended the fresh sea food and tandoori chicken.
Dinner can be delivered to your verandah if some notice is given; perfect for a romantic meal under the stars, your own music on the iPod dock or just the the sound of the waves.

Varied cuisines available and the Goan seafood dishes are, of course, a must. There’s a good range of dishes for vegetarians.

There are many places to eat within 10 minutes taxi ride.:
La Plage – this well-known French-fusion restaurant is a must, about 10 mins by car, or about 20 mins walk down the beach.
Café Nu is new to the area and it’s parent restaurant Sublime is also held in high regard by the Goa faithful.
While you’re hanging out during the day, you can head south, 10 mins down the beach, and have snacks at Palm Grove, Yab Yum and Pagan Café, all have some good dishes for kids as well as Indian, Asian and continental options.
