Aashyana

North Goa

Stay in & relax:
There isn’t much to do here besides laze by the pool, swim, sleep, relax, read and get a massage (there’s a yoga shala on the property, but no dedicated teacher).

Explore:
If you’re new to Goa, Aashyana’s central location in busy Candolim makes it a great base to explore Goa’s churches, markets and beaches.

Spend a day immersed in Goa’s cultural and historical past. Head to Old Goa early in the morning when it’s calm; then on to Panjim for the rest of the day, where you can stroll through the old Portuguese quarter of Fountainhas, eat a proper Goan meal at one of the several local cafes and restaurants and catch a movie at INOX, Goa’s modern new multiplex, which hosts a revolving list of Bollywood and Hollywood films.

Head up north to explore some of Goa’s quieter, more beautiful beaches. The Morjim-Asvem-Mandrem beach belt, though increasingly developed, is still pristine in places and a great venue for a day of sunbathing followed by drinks and dinner on the beach. This area is fast developing a reputation for an inventive and interesting culinary scene with restaurants run by both Indian and European chefs that combine international food trends with local ingredients and produce.

Shop:
At the Tibetan market in Candolim, the Saturday night market at Arpora, the Wednesday flea market in Anjuna; and the new chic boutiques that have opened all over the state.
