Boutique hotels, that is.
We love a bit of luxury here at Tripzuki. Not fawning, servile, sterile-and-safe luxury, but more the intimate, private, boutique variety. So when Harper’s Bazaar in the UK asked us to give them our top 6 hotels in India we relished the chance to put our slant on things, avoid listing the same old Oberoi, Taj etc… properties, and to offer up some places that fit the Tripzuki remit.
What is the Tripzuki remit? Well, I guess a Tripzuki hotel tends to be a small to medium size place with character. Perhaps the main thing is that staying there you feel valued and cared for, and that the hotel is complement to the destination and not just a place to stay. Also, you may well meet the owner or at least get a sense of the owner’s vision; this will generally be anything but just the provision of a soulless, concrete and chrome space to lay your head.
